Once your course is ready, you can export it as a SCORM 1.2 package for upload to your LMS.
How to export
- Open your course in the editor
-
In the top right corner, select the Export button
The export button is also accessible from inside a lesson, so you can export at any point while working on your course.
If the export button is greyed out
If the Export button is greyed out, it means your course contains one or more Colossyan video drafts that have not been generated yet. SCORM packages can only include generated videos (MP4 files), so drafts must be generated before you can export.
You'll see a notification listing the ungenerated videos. Each video is shown as a hyperlink that takes you directly to the draft, so you can quickly navigate to each one and generate it.
Tip: If your course has multiple ungenerated videos, use the hyperlinks in the notification to jump to each one rather than searching through your lessons manually.
Selecting a title from the list takes you straight to that draft. From there, choose Replace in the top-left corner and swap the draft for your generated video. Once every draft on the list has been replaced, the Export button will become available.
Configuring your export
Once all videos have been generated, select the Export button to open the export settings.
File name
The file name is inherited from the name of your course by default. You can change it to whatever you like before exporting.
Completion criteria
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| Started | The course is marked as complete as soon as the learner starts it |
| Ended | The course is only marked as complete when the learner finishes all lessons |
Success criteria
Success criteria is set to None by default. If you want to require a pass mark, select the pass mark option and set the exact percentage the learner needs to achieve.
Note: Only multiple choice and multiple response questions contained within quiz blocks (assessment) are calculated into the score. Questions placed in learner question blocks (formative) do not count towards the success criteria.
Format
Colossyan Learn currently supports SCORM 1.2 only. SCORM 2004 is not supported at this time.
What is SCORM 1.2?
SCORM 1.2 is a widely supported e-learning standard that allows your course to be uploaded to virtually any LMS. The exported package contains all your course content, structure, scoring, and media in a format your LMS can read and track.
