How do I change the default language?
To change the default language in Colossyan, follow these steps:
Remove all scripts from your draft
Create a new script with your preferred default language
The Default language variant should be updated with your preferred language at this point.
What does Mixed mean in my default language variant and how do I fix it?
A ๐ Mixed language variant means that you have multiple languages in your script.
To fix this do the following:
Review all your scenes
Make sure that your script is in the same language in all scenes
What will be translated?
Both the script and text content inside your scenes will be translated. Uploaded images, PDFs, and uploaded audio or video files cannot be translated.
Note: Technical terms, especially in IT and networking, are often left untranslated. This is because commands are fixed inputs that systems recognize only in their original form. Translating them could lead to confusion, as the device understands only the original commands. Therefore, even when the surrounding text is translated, these technical commands remain unchanged.
How do I change formatting in a language variant?
To adjust the font size of the translated text follow the below steps:
Open a draft
Switch to a language variant,
Select the textbox you'd like to adjust
Check the box next to Detach text format
Adjust the font size
How many videos can I automatically translate?
What counts as one translation?
Translation in this case means generating a video in a different language than your default language.
Once a video has been generated in a language variant it counts as 1 translation.
Here are the limits based on our available plans currently:
Free trial: 3 translations
Starter: 3 translations
Business: 10 translations
Enterprise: Unlimited translations
How does it affect my video generation minutes?
Each generated variant is its own generated video, and each one counts toward the video generation minutes.
If you have 10 different languages for a 60-second video, 10 minutes will be deducted from your video generation time. Generating all 10 language variants as videos will deduct the video's length ten times from your video generation time allowance as 10 videos are being generated. When using auto-translation, calculate the length of your video multiplied by the number of language variants.
