Which assets support animation?

You can apply animation to text boxes, images, videos and shapes.

You can also add animated objects to screen recordings.

How do I use animation markers?

Animation markers act like pins that you place in different parts of your script to specify starting and ending points for animations.

For example, if you want an object to fade in and fade out, you would place an animation marker at the starting point and another one at the ending point.

You will see animation markers in the script and on the Animate tab of each asset as a list.

How can I animate my content?

Go to the Script box.
By using the forward slash / or the animation markers button, place an animation marker into your script.
Click on the object on the canvas that you would like to animate.
Click Animate on the right sidebar.
Select the Animation type: Fade, Slide or Grow.
Select the Behaviour
1. Enter - your object will enter at the selected marker and stay in the scene until the end.
2. Exit - your object will enter at the beginning of the scene and exit at the selected marker.
3. Enter & Exit - you can select a marker for the enter animation and the exit animation separately.
Select the marker from the list to set start and end timings.

Can I highlight parts of screen recordings?

Yes — and it's just like adding any other animations!
See an example below, where we've added an arrow and animated it to only appear when the narrator mentions the part that the arrow is pointing at.

💡 Ideas for highlighting screen recordings

Add an arrow, and animate it to appear when needed.
Add a circle around the part you want to highlight — make the fill transparent, and choose a bold colour for the outline.
Add a black rectangle to cover the part you want to hide. Make the transparency around 50%. Animate the rectangle to appear when you want to highlight your section, and hide the rest.
