How to upload a video
There are two ways to upload a video within a scene:
- Backgrounds tab: Uploading a video through the backgrounds tab will lock it as a background.
- Media tab: Uploading a video through the media tab allows you to resize and change the positioning of the video within the scene
How to adjust volume, size and rotation
After uploading a video to your draft, you can adjust its volume and size by clicking on it in the canvas.
You are also offered 4 different video playback behaviours:
- Freeze last frame
- Loop video
- Adjust video to match scene
- Hide after it ends
The different relationships between the script and the uploaded video asset
- The script is shorter than the uploaded video
- The script is longer than the uploaded video
- There is no script in the scene, just a video
The script is shorter than the uploaded video
- Freeze last frame - the end of the video will be cut off, as playback won't reach the last frame
- Loop video - the end of the video will be cut off, as playback won't reach the last frame
- Adjust video to match scene - Video playback will be faster to match the length of the script
- Hide after it ends - the end of the video will be cut off, as playback won't reach the last frame.
💡Pro tip: You have to add a break to your script to ensure that the inserted video will play from beginning to end. Subtract the length of your script from the length of your uploaded video and add the result as a break.
The script is longer than the uploaded video
- Freeze last frame - The video playback will stop at the last frame, showing the last frame of the video until the end of the scene
- Loop video - When the video reaches its last frame, video playback will restart from the beginning
- Adjust video to match scene - Video playback will be slower to match the length of the script
- Hide after it ends - When the video reaches its last frame, it will disappear from the scene
There is no script in the scene, just a video
The length of the scene will be the same as the video length. The video will play once from beginning to end at the original speed.
📍 Make sure to remove any empty lines or breaks from your script in this case!
🚨 Multiple videos in a scene without a script will block preview and video generation. Please don't insert more than 2 videos without a script into a single scene.
