What is NEO 2?
NEO 2 is Colossyan's newest avatar rendering engine, which achieves industry-leading avatar realism with more natural facial expressions and hand gestures.
What does NEO 2 stand for?
NEO stands for Neural Expressive Output, which refers to the backbone architecture of Colossyan's latest AI avatar models, designed to bring more expressiveness to the AI avatar space.
NEO 2 represents the latest (second) iteration of the model.
How are NEO 2 avatars different from other avatars?
Avatars rendered with the NEO 2 rendering engine are the most realistic in the space. They are equipped with natural hand gestures, body movement, breathing and facial expressions that make them strikingly real and hard to recognise as synthetic media.
Which avatars support NEO 2 technology?
Scenario and Stock Studio avatars support rendering with the NEO 2 technology.
- You can filter in the avatar selector modal on the left side using the NEO 2 avatar filter to see them all.
- Or you can see the supported avatars list on the avatars page.
- Studio avatars support rendering with NEO 2 in Shoulder and Bubble view.
In the coming weeks, we'll add support for instant avatars as well.
How can I use NEO 2 avatars?
You are required to have two things to render with NEO 2:
- You need to have an active Business or Enterprise subscription
- You need to use avatars that support NEO 2 rendering (Scenario or Stock Studio)
If both requirements are met, an option to render using NEO 2 technology will be available after clicking "Generate" in the editor.
